Katherine Jenkins announces Thetford Forest Summer Concert

Katherine Jenkins has announced a special concert this summer, appearing in Thetford Forest on Sat 12 July as part of the Forestry Commission’s Forest Live concert calendar. Katherine last played the venue to a capacity crowd in 2008, and commented on her forthcoming concert, “I thoroughly enjoyed my forest debut which was a little while ago now so I am delighted to be returning to Thetford Forest again in the summer. I hope to see everyone there!”

Katherine Signs New Deal with Decca Records – Returning to ‘The Home of Classical Music’ to celebrate her 10th anniversary!

It’s official! Katherine Jenkins (OBE) has today announced that she has renewed her relationship with the world’s No.1 Classic label, Decca Records – signing a deal which will see the nation’s favourite songstress release her next album in the autumn of 2014. This significant and hugely exciting signing marks the beginning of a new era for the classical artist.

Katherine Jenkins said:  “It feels not only very exciting but very special to be returning to Decca – a decade after they first signed me and to many of the people who helped launch my career. It amazes me to think that this will be my 10th album and for this, it seems the perfect place to be going ‘home’ to.”

Westonbirt Arboretum Concert

Katherine Jenkins has announced a special concert this summer, appearing at Westonbirt Arboretum as part of the Forestry Commission’s Forest Live concert calendar. Katherine last played the venue to a capacity crowd in 2008, and commenting on her forthcoming concert she said, “I am really looking forward to returning to Westonbirt Arboretum this summer to perform again in such a beautiful location.” The concert will include a selection of Katherine’s favourite works as well as classic proms repertoire.

Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission, bringing music to new audiences without commercial branding or sponsorship. Income generated from ticket sales is spent on caring for this internationally important tree collection and improving the arboretum for both people and wildlife.
