Thanks Tricia for the charts and that is surprising news that Daydream has not reappeared.
By now thousands of people would have seen the Daydream tour and as we all know there are always Katherine's albums for sale in the theatre foyer and surely many would have made a purchase of the Daydream album,the mind boggles!

I just can't understand this weeks Charts! Usually when Katherine is on Tour her CDs rise in the Charts or re enter them but the opposite is happening!!!

Yes,agree that with all the publicity regarding Katherine's personal life and the Daydream Tour,it is disappointing that there is no sign of the album back in the Official Chart Company's Top 100.:w00t: This I think is due to its removal from supermarket outlets well before Christmas (which I discussed elsewhere-see link).

Thanks Tricia for posting the last few weeks chart.
The new slot on Classic Fm on Sunday late afternoons is generally a better time to listen to as the original Saturday mornings, as a lot of people are generally out and about then.
Exremely disappointed that Daydream has not done better in the other charts but hopefully with the tour now in progress should help to boost up sales.

Couldn't agree more with you."Daydream" has had a bit of a rough ride from the supermarkets.It was removed from Morrisons Top 80 last week (though hangs on in on a "special offers" rack in Blackpool at least.)Only trouble is....they have not put it on special offer at all-still full price!:w00t: If it was still properly displayed at a reduced price it would make it into many people's Christmas stockings.This business is especially important as studies show that CD sales (as opposed to downloads) are holding out more in the classical field than any other type of music.:discuss:

Hi Tricia, It looks we`ve got the usual trouble again in the shops ,Asda in Luton I noticed no Katherine on shelves(one fine day ,daydream) not even on their chart but theres three shelf slots for Andrea Rieu and of course is on there chart. I get the feeling they think Katherine doesnt sell many so its not worth displaying her albums,we all know that is not the case. so why I wonder does it still happen. simple answer display more sell more. best wishes Brian

Heard the top 40 this week and do wish Mark Forrest would stop calling Katherine's Daydream a Pop Album! Fair enough it does not have so much Classical content as some of her earlier works but it hardly justifies for Pop!
Good though to see One Fine Day still at No 1 but with Andre Rieu's new album being released it is likely she will lose the top position to him.

Thanks for that.The "Pop Chart" is not strctly so-being a generalist chart for all album sales.Indeed,"One Fine Day" is at No.31 in said chart (down 14) .Have no fear though.The drop is most likely the effect of "Daydream" sweeping the board-it being released a week later than OFD.;)

Tricia-you have quoted the chart positions of the Classic FM chart.The Official Chart Company's Classical Chart has Katherine doing rather better :)

OFD is No 1 (same as last week)

SL-No.5 (up 10)

UC-No.10 (up 3)

Hmm-the appearance of "One Fine Day" in this week's chart but absence of "Daydream" suggests the latter is not accepted as qualifying for the classical chart.Considering they accepted Laura Wright's folkish collection I am surprised and disappointed.:crazy:

PS.It seems even Classic FM are confused on the point-their link to the chart says "Daydream" is No.1 but the chart itself refers only to "One Fine Day"...at No.1! The rival Official Chart Company classical chart also lists OFD as No.1.No mention of "Daydream".:crying:
