I have just been sifting through some papers in my violin case and found the following details.
Katie fans will be pleased to know that we in the RPO spent the day of January 2nd recording a new album with her at Air Studios in North London. It was conducted and arranged by Mike Batt who wrote the Wombles tune - and made a fortune out of it!
The tracks were:-

I don't know when it will be released, but I did think it sounded very nice indeed.

Katie Melua will be singing at Thetford Forest this year.
Katie Melua has announced an East Anglian date for the summer.
With nearly 10 million combined sales generated from her first 3 albums, ‘Call Off The Search’, ‘Piece By Piece’ and ‘Pictures’ Katie was, without doubt, one of the greatest musical success stories of the last decade. Now, having spent 2009 writing songs for her 4th studio album including teaming up with song-writing partner Guy Chambers (perhaps best known for Robbie Williams’ ‘Angels’ and ‘Millennium’), Katie is currently in the studio finishing the record with producer William Orbit who produced Madonna’s award-winning album ‘Ray Of light’. The as-yet-untitled album will be released in May.
