Hi all

Just heard Fear of Falling played on The Ken Bruce Show on Radio 2.

He said it's her new single (good choice) but I can't find any mention anywhere - can anyone confirm this?

It was great to hear 'Fear of Falling' driving down to Cardiff yesterday and again today on the way back. Radio 2 has excellent taste to make it record of the week

New Single - Fear Of Falling - Released 12th April 2010

Following her critically acclaimed sell out UK Arena tour, Katherine Jenkins releases Fear Of Falling – the stunning Richard Marx penned single taken from her album Believe. Released April 12th 2010 on Warner Bros Records.

“The Welsh singer’s mix of old-fashioned glamour and good manners, alongside a commercial approach to the classical genre, has secured her status as one of the most successful recording artists of her kind” – Daily Telegraph 16th March 2010

Warner Bros Records today announce the release of Fear Of Falling, the Richard Marx penned track, taken from Katherine Jenkins seventh studio album, Believe.

Recorded in LA in 2009, Richard Marx (who’s credits include Right Here Waiting, Dance With My Father), wrote the haunting, but uplifting, Fear Of Falling for Katherine, a track which echoes close to her heart - "When my producer David Foster played me this track on the piano, it was one of those occasions where I got goosebumps all over. Richard is the most amazing writer and we really connected over this track. Its a really inspirational song, about keeping belief, through the good and the bad times".

The single follows of the back of Katherine’s sell out 12 date UK Arena tour, which has being going down to rave reviews. The Scotsman declared the show “Spectacular” whilst The Guardian commented how “Tantalisingly, Jenkins has the talent”.

Taken to a whole new level with creative director Kim Gavin at the helm (who was responsible for Take That’s Circus tour), The Glasgow Herald observed how the show was “polished with delivery and dictation” and the Nottingham Evening Post acknowledged how Jenkins has become “a singing sensation to be reckoned with”.

For this tour, Katherine really wanted to raise the bar visually, giving it that extra twist of theatricals. As the News Of The World concurred “the blonde bombshell ha[d]a few surprises for her first arena tour… Bring Me To Life [saw] her transform from goth babe to resplendent butterfly”.

With Katherine drawing equal references both to Madonna and Barbra Streisand, Jenkins has become one of the UK’s biggest selling female singers. In the last two months of 2009, she sold over 400,000 records; 2010 is looking equally exciting as she prepares to launch Believe in North America later this year, as she further cements her status as a global superstar.
