| How about The Loch Tay Boat Song? It is for the wrong gender, but it is a beautiful song & I am sure that Katherine's version would be magical. Angus.

Obviously it would depend what direction Katherine takes with the next album musically. But a few songs came to mind whilst listening to the iPod today:
Anthem from Chess.
Tell Me It's Not True from Blood Brothers.
The Beatles' Across The Universe
Wild Mountainside written by John Douglas and recorded by his band The Trashcan Sinatras and also by Eddi Reader on her Robert Burns album
Nick Cave's The Ship Song

| Hello Katherine, I suggest that you might sing some more Irish folk songs on your next album, your version of Carrickfergus is beautiful & i'm sure there are plenty more to inspire you Carmel

| I was just listening to Katherine's first album,'Premiere', today. The 'Bailero' from the 'Songs of the Auvergne' is a gorgeous piece of music & was sung beautifully by Katherine. There was, however, what I thought sounded like synthetic percussion, which, in my opinion, detracted from the singing. I would love it if Katherine recorded this again with different accompaniment. Angus.

| Hi Folks When thinking about her next album - and I know I've said this before - I think an album of music from Film and Stage Musicals would be great. We know from VLD and songs from her previous CDs and DVds that musical numbers are well within her range and she sings them so beautifully. Musicals can present a range from styles some (from Porgy and Bess for example) require a Soprano Operatic style, others from the great MGNM Musicals need a more jazzy - big band approach. So songs from the musicals please. As a second possibility - an album of duets. On CD and DVD our Katherine has sung some wonderful duets with some wonderful singers from Dame Kiri to Dame Darcey. A variety of singing partners would also allow her to show off the full range of her voice from the operatic to the popular. Tim M

| Apologies if this has already been mentioned here or elsewhere but recently I have been a very infrequent visitor. I am just wondering if there is any likelihood of a new album being recorded this year at all. I am assuming that on the back of the current DWTS series that Katherine will do a tour in the USA to capitalise on the success/publicity from the show. That surely gives little time to record a new album this year?

| Katherine says that she is currently in talks to decide on songs for her next album, this year. Come on Katherine, how about that nice wee Scottish folk song to support the Celtic Connection! I am quite sure that lots of the good folks of the US of A would love that too. Thanking you in anticipation. Angus.

Really looking forward to Katherine's album at the end of the year and we wonder whether the selection of songs has been finalised? If not,how about My Heart Will Go On which would be very appropiate in Titanic's 100th year anniversary.Another suggestion would be Whitney Houston's One Moment In Time a fitting tribute to a great singer! On the classical side Puccini's Vissi d'arte from Tosca or Mi chiamano Mimi from La boh'eme.
Regards
Jenny and John.

Regards Jenny and John.I think WHATEVER is on the album, it will be geared a bit more towards American tastes in a bit to capitalize on her recent DWTS success here. This will likely mean it may be a bit more "pop-like" than "classical-like". Don't get me wrong, I'm NOT saying it will be a Pop album, but my guess is that it may be weighted in that direction a bit more than some of her other albums. Ken

Ken Just like the last two albums really; a good mix of songs. I agree about the Titanic song. I would also like to hear the Bailero with better musical accompaniment. The other one of her songs that I would like to see recorded is, Una Voce Poco Fa. Not everyone likes Katherine singing it, but I do. Many people have been drawn to Classical music by Katherine's singing. I, on the other hand, have gone the other way and have been introduced to many contemporary songs by her and I really enjoy her versions. So no matter what she chooses, I think that I will love it. Angus.
