| Hi again Angus: I believe in asking for the stars and being happy with the moon. Yes! the distortion of Puff into an anthem to drugs infuriated me. PP&M hotly denied it and tried to salvage it vs the slander, but because they were seen as part of the "flower" movement in US perhaps they weren't successful. I guess remnants of that problem may stil attach to the song. RATs! That could make it counterproductive for Katherine I fear, for silly reasons. Still her voice would do a great version I feel certain, and we all know she's brave and sometimes dares to go where "Angel" 's also tread  . Pun intended. Glad you agree about "The Green Fields of France" ... it tears me apart when I hear it... as does "And the Band played Waltzing Mathilda" which K's voice would do wonders for also. Are you acquainted with John McDermott's version of 'Green Fields...'? It's on YT; if you don't know it, I think worth your visit. I am a fan of his from a long time back. We share a distant family history actually. I too firmly want Katherine to sing more celtic songs from all 3 of the "original tribes" of Britain  . Esp The Welsh Anthem= I get chills everytime I view her version, anything you can mention for Scotland esp "The Skye Boat song" and all kinds of songs from Ireland about Ireland. I just pulled up John McD's song list... just about anything on it would be wonderful for Katherine. "The Dutchman" is lovely and heart-full and suits her voice I think. Wow! talk about a jolting combo. So there ya' go. Any thoughts from you would interest me. Ciao.

| Angus: Oooops! forgot? Yes yes yes re "Flowers of the Forest" . If we keep to this route and Katherine goes along, we'll have the planet awash in tears. Commonly known now as "immersion therapy" it could possibly heal many of our blundering ways. Now that's a thought worth thinking. Hope you are smiling.

I was just reading (Saturday's Globe and Mail) that Canadian Olympic rights for the next two games (Sochi & Rio) are going to CBC, so there is a very good chance that I Believe will not be used again (at least not until 2018), so any television rights to the song may be gone soon. I'm not sure how that works.

I don't want to appear greedy or impatient, but once Christmas is over, there will be less of a desire to listen to Christmas music, so I wonder when Katherine will be recording her next album?  This thread will be relevant once more. Angus.

KJ Adventures Twitter account posted a link to a YouTube video I'd never seen before, and the song she sings is perfect for her sound. The song is "Now is the Hour", and was sung on SCD some years ago. I looked around and couldn't find where she might have recorded the song. I would love to have that song on my iPod. So if somebody knows where a recording might be found I'd appreciate the information. Otherwise I hope she records it. Here is the YouTube link:
